History
The text is derived from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. Words were cut, altered and added, which is why most of it is not real Latin. Typesetters used it as filler for decades; it appeared on Letraset dry-transfer sheets in the 1960s and spread with desktop publishing software such as Aldus PageMaker in the 1980s.
